Oscura

Hydra and Symone- the two heavy hitters in the Oscura world. The next chapter of Oscura is going to be pretty much all about them.

Viva and I are working on a children's book and I sketched up the villains fast. The girl is Skein and she's a bit of a mix between dog, warrior and young lady. The man is Langamire and he's an ancient solider that was raised by the villain of the story to serve him.

Character sketches

These are some quick character studies. First there's Dolce, the androgynous boy/girl?. I really like giving him/her cute outfits. Then there's Ymir, she's wearing a thick bearskin and it looks like she just ate something? And finally Yohji, with his crazy tattoos and treasure trail. Hahahhaa.

I've been doodling a series of characters from different stories that I've been working on with Viva. The one above is from my space story. The first on the left is Ethan Fitzpatrick, a foot solider turned genetically altered pilot. You can't see them, because he has them closed, but he's been given eyes of an extraterrestrial insect that can travel in space by using wrinkles created in the fabric of space and matter. It doesn't allow Ethan the same powers, but he can use his eyes to pilot very expensive ships through space with a much higher success rate. The second is Nikolai, who's body has been enhanced to endure incredible stress and pain. He works as a bodyguard for the pilots. The third is Cptn. Basil, who had the first successful implants of the extraterrestrial eyes and is the most traveled human pilot known. The next is Nox Romero, a member of a very wealthy and dangerous family that owns a mining planet and funds the military that Ethan belongs to. The last is Aurora Romero, I had a lot of fun with her dress. She's the older sister of Nox, and I made her match a fancy cockatoo. I imagine such birds are rare and expensive.
